Yaroslav Bogdanov: The future of cryptocurrencies in the United States will be decided by the presidential election in November

U.S. presidential nominee Kamala Harris refused to participate in the Bitcoin 2024 conference. At the same time, her rival in the race for the highest office in the States Donald Trump is announced as the headliner of the event.

According to latest reports Kamala Harris, who made public statements showing support for cryptocurrency, also was heard privately criticizing this type of digital asset. Her refusal to participate in the largest cryptocurrency conference indirectly confirms this.

According to Yaroslav Bogdanov, founder of GDA Group, the future of cryptocurrencies in the United States will be decided in November during the presidential election. This is indicated by the polarity of views on cryptocurrencies between Democrats and Republicans.

“It's no secret that the crypto industry is under serious pressure from U.S. government agencies. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has blocked more than one promising project. The hopes of crypto-investors are linked to Donald Trump's promises to put an end to the persecution of the IT sphere by the regulatory authorities. The Democrats are yet to speak up on the matter. Lack of attention to such a relevant industry in the modern world would deprive them of a significant share of the electorate,” said Yaroslav Bogdanov.

Cynthia Lummis is expected to speak at the Bitcoin 2024 conference. She is the author of a bill on the mandatory transfer to bitcoin of a part of the U.S. strategic reserve.

“It is likely that on Saturday, July 27 immediately after Lummis' speech and Trump's scheduled speech, the bitcoin rate will go up again. Some positive developments in terms of cryptocurrency legalization in various countries around the world are helping bitcoin to hold strong. The expected statements on relaxations for the crypto industry in the US should give even more impetus to the growth of the cryptocurrency market,” Yaroslav Bogdanov believes.
